A city never tasted this good !!

Certainly Paris is not the most Food-Truck friendliest city in the world, however when American Food Truck trend collides with French Gourmandise … Oh Mon Dieu !!! Fabulous things sure happen!!

I came to know about the “Camion qui Fume” some months ago .. it means earlier 2013, however this Truck has been rolling over Paris since late 2011. After trying those burgers a couple times 😉 .. I can say these burgers are a piece of Paris to bite!! No kidding, these burgers would remind you of Paris forever once you try them!!

The menu created by the Californian chef/owner, Kristin Frederick, honors the best local ingredients into the tastiest burgers ever… champignons sauvages, fourme d’ambert, oignons caramelisés, gruyère réserve… if the ingredients sound good, when they are all together into the burger they sound like a symphony!!

Rarely making lines for over 40 min pay as good as this one!!! Best of all .. 10€ w/home fries!!

La baguette parisienne – Oh lala!!

By definition, the baguette is one of the symbols of France and an emblem of its “savoir-faire artisanal” (artisan know-how).

Living in France for almost 2 years, I’ve been able to try many versions of baguettes.. now in Paris I was able to try it at its best.

After finding the new ranking on the best baguettes in Paris an important question came to my mind …. Is the best Baguette in Paris by definition the best Baguette in the world? As the capital of France (the land of baguettes), Paris hosts the best bakeries in the country. Therefore the best Baguette in Paris is very likely to be the best in the world…!!

So, being just a healthy and short bike ride away I decided to give it a try and .. have the best baguette in the world .. for breakfast. Some might say this is an overestimation of a bread…it’s true, it takes some time to appreciate and estimate the art of bread making or L’artisanat boulanger as french say.

The city inside our minds

Paris can be seen in many ways. One of the most visited cities in the world with over 30 millon visitors per years makes it a subject itself. Paris is a place, a person a dream… Paris is everything you imagined before coming for the first time but also is nothing of what you expected from it (her) … We all have a Paris in our minds, either we’ve been here one, two or many times or either we dream of going someday.

The discovery of the city for me has been gradual. Since arriving from the very first time in summer, amused by the blue skies covering the picture perfect gardens of Louvre, strolling around and being amazed by every detail of reality that mixed with the imaginary Paris I had in my mind.

From being a tourist in the city of lights to become one of the souls inhabiting its streets and seeing it (her) day and night under its thousands shades of gray and sometimes under the blue skies. Living in this city is a gift to be shared. Here are some images from one magical white night in the City of Lights!
